Kitty Party Recipes
Food is fun! A gossip over a cup of tea and some snacks or appetizers can work wonders for a ladies kitty party. So what kitty party recipes have you decided to make this time? I personally love to make appetizers as they not only excite me with the taste but also make my table look colorful and tempting! Of late, I have made some new kitty friends who are simply crazy about anything cooked with chicken. So this time, I am planning to try out some party recipes based on chicken and trust me, it will be my pleasure to watch their reactions (provided everything goes well… :P ).
Now that I have already picked up a very simple yet amazing appetizer, i.e. Chicken 65, I thought why not share the recipe with you! Hope you too find the recipe interesting and if so, do not forget to give them a try and share with me your experiences. So, here we go…! (You can adjust the measurement of the ingredients depending on the number of guests you are inviting.)
Chicken 65 Recipe
Prep Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 30 min
Serve: 4 people
Ingredients
Boneless chicken - 250 gms (cut into bite sized pieces)
Curd : ½ cup
Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Red Chilli powder - ½ tsp
Coriander powder - ¼ tsp
Oil - for frying
Salt - as per taste
For Marinade
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Black pepper powder - ¼ tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Lemon juice - ½ tbsp
For Coating The Chicken
Egg - 1
Cornflour - 1 ½ tbsp
Rice flour - ½ tbsp
For Tempering
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Cooking oil - ½ tbsp
Garlic -2 cloves (optional)
Ginger - Half inch (minced)
Green chillies - Around 5 (slit lengthwise)
Procedure
1. Marinate the boneless chicken pieces with ingredients mentioned above.
2. Take a bowl, add yogurt, salt, coriander powder, turmeric and red chilli.
3. To coat the marinated chicken, add egg, cornflour and rice flour to it and coat the chicken. Add some water if needed.
4. Take a wok, add oil and fry the chicken pieces till golden brown. You can do this step in two rounds instead of crowding it to ensure that each piece is beautifully golden brown. Start by cooking on a medium flame and once the chicken is cooked, increase the flame and deep fry.
5. Once done, take out the chicken pieces on a tissue paper.
6. For tempering, heat oil in a vessel. Saute ginger-garlic paste for a few seconds and add curry leaves and green chillies. After 5 seconds, add the fried chicken and toss it well.
7. At this stage, add the yogurt mixture to the chicken and toss it until the whole yogurt mixture gets absorbed.
8. Remove it from the flame, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot along with salad.
Conclusion
So there’s the delicious Chicken 65! An amazing starter that has always been on the hit list of all starter recipes. If you prefer to try your party recipes at once ahead of the event, you can try it anytime this week and form your own opinion about the recipe. You can go little innovative or stick to the authentic recipe as per your preference.
I am planning to keep two more snacks for my vegetarian guests and of course some special cocktails for my party. Hope everything goes as per my plan (fingers crossed). Do share with me your experience with your party recipes in the comment box given below.
